We are a group of community spirited volunteers who pay an annual fee to be Lions. Our President arranges an annual Dinner and the proceeds from our fees and this dinner cover all our administrative expenses. This means that every penny donated goes to good causes, not to pay our admin and insurance.
“As I grew older it seemed that I was not making a big enough difference, particularly given my own incredible good fortune. I went from feeling content that things were going well, to realizing that I hadn’t even begun to scratch the surface of what needed to be done.” – Richard Branson
“Our society has an obligation to invest now to improve the lives of all those coming into this world, not just those already here.” – Mark Zuckerberg

Your Local Lions have adopted "The Serenity Appeal" as a major local charity to support in Doncaster & Bassetlaw NHS. This years' proceeds from our Classic Car Shows in Rossington & Harworth will be donated to the fund.
Supporting families through the heartache of baby loss. With much sadness, every year many families suffer the pain and trauma of losing a little one. Although we cannot change what has happened, we can make this experience that little bit easier for our families. As such, we need your help to make significant improvements to our maternity bereavement services so we can provide the gold standard of care that local people deserve. To make these improvements possible, the appeal needs to raise £150,000 which will enable us to fund various improvements to our maternity bereavement services across Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital.
Sick Children's Trust
Your Local Lions have made a donation of £600.00 to the trust, thank you for your donations I'm sure it will help to make smiling children https://www.sickchildrenstrust...

All Saints Church, Harworth and Bircotes
This evening I was very pleased to welcome two representatives of Tickhill and District Lions Club.
Ron and Dominic visited in order to present a cheque for £300 to All Saints’ Church in support of the big Community Children’s Christmas Party we’re running at the Town Hall on Saturday 4 December, 1-3pm (see our article in H&B Today for details).
They are very willing and able to make a difference across Harworth and Bircotes; if you have a good idea for them or to see what they do, visit: www.local-lions.org
Sensory Garden Project, Tickhill
In creating this special garden, we will enable people to mix together as we come out of the Covid-19 situation and also a provide safe space which our community and surrounding communities can benefit from and enjoy way into the future. Furthermore, as the library and its grounds fall within Tickhills conservation area, the garden we helped create will enhance this.
New Benches Installed in Rossington
The benches have now been installed near the LIDL Supermarket and on Brodsworth Way, these were made possible by the efforts of Tony Archer and his Rossington team of collectors last Christmas
Following the success of the first Classic Car Show with H & B First Community Association we are proud to announce that a donation of £1,659.46 was made to the Children’s Air Ambulance.
December 2018 we proudly donated £5,000 to the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. We also sought the support of other local Lions clubs and Lion Clubs International who between them contributed a further £11,700 for the refurbishment of family rooms at the hospice.
